In this project, we helped the clients select the site and then worked to identify the type of home and budget requirements that would suit their needs. A building was designed to satisfy their unique requirements, aesthetic preferences, and fulfill the needs of a family with growing children. We built a study model during the design process, so the building could be studied in 3 dimensions with the clients.

During custom home construction, as the building takes shape, there are often changes after a walk-through, and there were many on this project. This is to be expected, since walking through your own home under construction is an exciting -what if we did this- experience! During the framing process, we were able to make most of the major alterations at no additional cost, and the result was a building designed and tailored to the clients specific requirements.

We pay attention to detail, not only what you see on the surface of the finished product, but also what happens deep inside the walls and floors that you never see. We keep the building and site clean at all times, and constantly perform quality checks at all stages of construction.

We believe in solid construction, using the best materials available. This is very cost effective, since high quality stands the test of time, and a well-built, energy efficient building needs less maintenance.

I use subcontractors that I can actually let talk to the client! View our stone masons. All of our people are not only very good at what they do, but can participate in client meetings.

I maintain a comprehensive photographic log of the building and site so the client has a reference of the locations of all pipes, wires, ducts, and structure. All site utilities are photographed and located on a site drawing. This information is invaluable if any additions or alterations are contemplated in the future.

An owner's manual is prepared with all warranties, and specific instructions, along with addresses and phone numbers of plumbers, electricians, and heating / air conditioning subcontractors if an emergency should occur. Information on special care and seasonal maintenance checklists are included. I am available after the job is finished, at any time, even after the general warranty period.
